Home Gardening Log

September 2019

I can’t remember what I planted, but now that the roots can finally dig in, the veggies are starting to grow. The soil used to be rock-hard, so I’m working in as much organic matter as I can.

The corn is small, but it’s there. For better pollination, it seems corn should be planted in several rows rather than a single line.

Short corn plants; note on multi-row planting for pollination

The carrots are a bit wonky, but the yields are going up.
