January: Windbreak Setup
Strong winds made me worry about lodging, so I installed a windbreak net. Let’s see how effective it is.
Garlic: January–April 2023
From winter through early spring, most of my fieldwork focused on garlic care.
March: Wintered Over
Despite the windy season, the garlic overwintered well. From here, I’m excited to see how much it bulks up.
April: Growing Fast
With warmer weather, the plants are putting on rapid growth. Rust can be an issue this time of year, but so far there’s no sign of it. Is it healthier than the garlic from two years ago?
